Rachel Rubin worked with international students and scholars at Georgetown University for almost three decades. During her tenure, the Office of Global Services created essential university partnerships that increased the breadth and depth of university support afforded to the international community. She chaired the Bou Family Foundation Scholarship Committee to support international students with financial need and was an active committee member in the Pedro Arrupe S.J., Scholarship for Peace, enabling international students from world conflict areas to receive a Jesuit education. Ms. Rubin also participated in Georgetown’s Jesuit mission to Kenya and continues to work with the School of Hope Foundation in Kibera Slum, Nairobi, Kenya. Currently, Ms. Rubin sits on the Board of the International Student House of Washington, DC, which promotes intercultural dialogue and fosters global citizenship among a highly diverse community of graduate students, professional interns, and
visiting scholars.
Rachel Rubin received her graduate degree in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service and her undergraduate degree in Latin American Studies from Smith College.
